What can I expect in sessions?

Sessions include assessments and close with a booking of the next appointment. We provide a non-judgmental confidential, ethically informed and supportive atmosphere.

How long will therapy take?

Each person is unique, and the length of time for psychotherapy depends on the issues you would like to address and your goals.

Are sessions covered by OHIP?

Psychotherapy sessions are not covered by OHIP; however, you may have coverage through your private insurance plan. You will need to check with your insurance company to see if psychotherapy services are covered.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, a doctor’s referral is not necessary for booking psychotherapy sessions.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, we offer a free 15-minute consultation which allows us to get to know each other and decide whether it is a good fit. It also allows you to ask essential questions enabling you to make the decision to work with us.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, we do. Sliding-scale therapy is simply therapy offered for sliding-scale fees based on a person’s income and it is determined on a case-by-case basis.
